Modi Govt sensitive to employees’ concerns: Dr Jitendra

Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Development of North-Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Atomic Energy & Space, Dr Jitendra Singh said here today that the Modi Government is sensitive to employees’ concerns and a number of decisions taken during the last four years, are aimed in the direction of addressing employees’ grievances and providing them a motivating environment.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has raised the retirement age of state government employees 62 years. The current age of retirement is 60 years.

7th Pay Commission: Dearness Allowance for central government employees hiked to 7 per cent

The Union Cabinet approved two per cent hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) for central government employees on Wednesday. This decision will see 1.10 crore central government staff and pensioners receive 7 per cent of their basic pay as DA, instead of 5 per cent. The hike will be put into effect from January 01, 2018.

Standard deduction to benefit central govt employees

Central government employeers who benefited from the 7th Pay Commission will get further advantage  through standard deduction announcement today in the Budget.

It will help central government employees to save more money as the standard deduction of Rs 40,000 is introduced in lieu of transport and medical reimbursements for salaried employees. 

Fearing ‘reprisals’, many employees de-activate social media accounts

A Facebook user wrote on his timeline: “Take a lot of curd friends. It is very healthy. What else do I post…..? Gosh.”

The government diktat curbing use of social media by its employees forced many employees on Wednesday to de-activate their social media accounts.

Fear reprisals, several employees deactivated their original accounts and created fake ones while some refrained from writing political posts on Facebook and Twitter.
